Seeded with heavy entrepreneurial spirits and a keen understanding of the food and service industry, Mary and Steve also opened their own fine dining waterfront restaurant which became award winning. Here is where they repeatedly proved that amazing recipes mixed with refined service, highly trained staff and a genuine desire to give every customer the best possible experience is a solid foundation for success. They have brought this with them to Finale's and the business steadily grows.
Crucial to the stellar reputation Finale’s has earned are the team members who bake, deliver and support. They know the nuances of the different recipes and procedures, the special handling required of superior products and the high level of service expected and delivered to the clientele they serve.
Along with their team and their family, Steve and Mary bake with tremendous pride and cherish the opportunity they have to provide their unique and exceptional products to their amazing and much appreciated long term customers as well as those discovering Finale's Gourmet Desserts for the first time. As they celebrate the 26th year since Finale’s first baked goods came out of the oven, they continue to dedicate their efforts to creating premier products and appreciating their always growing long-term customer relationships.
Owners Steve and Mary Mindemann's deep understanding of true hospitality and the value of hard work began in their youth and continued while working numerous positions in the food and beverage industry. After graduating from Washington State University with degrees in Business Administration and Hotel & Restaurant Management, Steve trained with Westin Hotels and rose quickly through the ranks and later worked with other high quality full service hotels. As a General Manager and consultant, Steve has contributed for many years in the hospitality industry. Steve and Mary continue to be involved in the local community.
The small batch, handcrafted tradition began in 1989. Finale's is the perfect blend of European bakery traditions, American ingenuity and world class service.
